She was born in Pittsburgh in 1941, to the late Marie Mae (Raup) Roberts and Krantz Long Roberts.
Phyllis was a graduate of New Cumberland High School, Class of 1959.
She was a former employee of the former Bell Telephone and retired as a Federal Women's Program Manager from the New Cumberland Army Depot.
Phyllis was a Volunteer for the Harrisburg River Rescue, was an Advocate for Bat Conservation International, and loved to share her craft creations and skills with family and friends.
She also enjoyed camping and caring for all God's creatures.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her husbands: James Snyder, who was a U.S. Army veteran killed in action during the Vietnam War and Richard "Mike" Thiele who was a U.S. Air Force veteran; and, her brother: James Roberts.
She is survived by her nieces: Sharon Feister of Camp Hill, Mitzi Feister of Camp Hill, and Tammy Roberts of Enola; her nephew: Timothy Feister and wife Donna Feister of Millerstown; and, her sister-in-law: Beverly Paulus of Mechanicsburg.
A Memorial Service will be held at 01:00 PM on Saturday, December 28, 2019 in St James Presbyterian Church, 1425 Orrs Bridge Road, Mechanicsburg.
Burial will be held at a later date in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
