Anthony W. Sablowski, 77, of Greenway Avenue, died Sunday at State University Hospital.
Mr. Sablowski was born in Reading, Pa , and lived in Syracuse more than 60 years. He was employed by Syracuse Rendering Co. 38 years before retiring in 1974.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
During his military service, Mr. Sablowski served in New Guinea with the 9th Headquarters, 130th Infantry He received numerous medals and citations.
Mr Sablowski was a member of General Pulaski Post 1650, VFW.
He was a communicant of Transfiguration Church and a member of its Holy Name Society.
Surviving are his wife, Rose Tymmski Sablowski, a son, Richard Mura of Syracuse, and three grandchildren, Kimberly, Doug and Scott Mura.
Services will be at 8 30 a.m. Wednesday at Giminski-Wysocki Funeral Home and at 8 45 a.m. at Transfiguration Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. today (July 14).
