She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport. Edie was a former employee of Fazoli’s. She was a member of Deck Valley Baptist Church where she sang solos & sang in the choir.
Edie enjoyed cooking, crocheting and crafts. She loved children and spending time with her family.
Edith was preceded in death by her father, Hassell Hutchins.
Surviving are her loving husband of 46 years, George Steve Pierce; mother, Dorothy Carrier Hutchins; sisters, Judy Carter and Faye Lunsford; brothers, Danny Ray Hutchins and Carl Hutchins and wife, Lorraine; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, Danny and Tina Wright and Sara and Bobby Hawkins.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at East Lawn Memorial Park in the Garden of Everlasting Life. Music will be provided by Danny and Tina Wright. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:50 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her husband, George Steve Pierce.
