Born May 15, 1948, in Cincinnati, OH, she was the daughter of the late William and Irene Brown. Carolyn was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Marshall; her brother, Billy brown and her granddaughter, Allison Fitzgerald. She was a member of Squiresville baptist Church. Carolyn retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky for the department of Pupil Transportation school buses. She adored her dog Macy, where the spent a-lot of their time camping, shopping on QVC. You could find Carolyn spending time with her children in Gatlinburg, TN, getting there nails done or grabbing a quick cup of coffee. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She will be missed by her daughters, Tammy (Jimmy) Powers, Sonya Marshall; her grandchildren, Kellsey (Dennis) Burns, Shelby (Damian) Lyman, Marcus (Gabrielle Turner) Powers; her great grand-children, Brooklyn, Kylan, Easton, Emberly and a host of extended family and friends.
McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 11 am until 2 pm for a pass-thru visitation. Masks and social distancing are required. Funeral services, with limited seating, will follow at 2 pm with Bro. Jeremey Warren presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery.
