Jeffrey Drew Stone passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, at his home in Taylor of lung cancer.

Jeffrey was the son of Glendyl and Mary Ann (Brooner) Stone.

He retired from the US Navy with a total of 20 years. He completed six years in the regular Navy nuclear school, then on a fast attack submarine, where the motto was “Run fast run silent.”

Jeffrey was honorably discharged in 1973 but returned in 1985 to the Navy Seabees based in Austin. Their motto of the Seabees was “Can do.” He was honorably discharged from the Seabees in 1999.

Jeffrey was a life member of the VFW 6277 of Monterey, Tenn. He loved this country very much. Jeffrey retired from the Rockdale Power Plant in 2005 as an environmental technician for 20 years.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Rodney Stone.

He is survived by his wife Diana (Ball) Stone; sons Jeremy T. (Melissa) Stone and Jarrod C. (Jenny) Stone; grandchildren Ashley, McCrae, Maison, and Cole; favorite brother-in-law Charlie Ball and wife Sandy from Indiana.
