YERINGTON - Hattie Karr Forrester, 80, died Oct. 20, 1998, at her residence.
A native of Panhandle, Texas, she was born Sept. 7, 1918, to Lewis and Pearl (Archer) Karr and had lived in Yerington for the past four years, coming from Paradise, Calif.
Mrs. Karr owned and operated Desert Donut & Deli in Fernley and worked as a mechanic for Heller Helicopter in Palo Alto, Calif. She was board member and founder of Heller Aircraft Credit Union, and member of local mechanic union and active in sheep and cattle raising business.
Her husband preceded her in death.
Surviving are son, Wendell and daughter, Woodie Otto, both of Yerington; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A memorial services is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home.
Cremation will be at Carson Sierra Crematory, Carson City.
