Ms. Angela Fanita “Angie” Byrd, 53, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at Prisma Health Upstate. She was a daughter of James A. Byrd and the late Jeanette Bowens Byrd.

She was a graduate of Southside High School and a Teacher’s Assistant in the Greenville County School System. She was a member of the Shoals Creek Baptist Church, where she was in the Mass Choir and participated in the Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.

She was preceded in death by her mother,Jeanette B. Byrd, and a brother, Jason E. Byrd.

Surviving, along with her father, one brother, James Demetrius Byrd of the home; her grandparents, James E. and Anna M. Byrd of Greenville, and James O. and Mary Lee Bowen of Easley; four aunts, Rachel Byrd and Geneva (Horace) Mansel, both of Greenville, and Shirley (Isaac) Booker and Juanita (Gregory) Butler, both of Easley; an uncle, James (Debbie) Bowens of Easley; two nieces, Shayla Mayes and Jamecia Byrd; one nephew, Asajay Byrd; loving friends, Betty Grant, Danita Sullivan and Gloria Manigo; and a host of other relatives and friends.
