Born February 24, 1944 in Oakland, California to parents Irene and Donald Cochran, Nick served in the Marines during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he worked as a facility manager for Electro-Coatings in Emeryville, California for over 20 years. He was also a limo driver for Black Tie for over 30 years. He loved going to the gun range, playing golf, road trips, and travel - and he lived to eat.
Nick was preceded in death in 2005 by his wife of over 35 years, Helen. He was survived by his children Nicholas Jr., Sean, Nathanael and Shannon; grandchildren Kody, Nathanael Jr. and Avianna; nieces Troylynn Echevarria, Mindy McCall, Machelle Crafton (Darin), and Dereesa Hill; grand-nieces and nephews Elijah Chavez, Isaiah Medina, Jason McCall (Patricia), Brandy Cumberland (Josh), Kendra Farrell (Matt), Reese Jones, Shane Jones and Cody Smith; great-grand nieces and nephews Parker, William and Brody, Arabella, and many more family members and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Nick will be laid to rest respectfully and with honors at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 9, 2019 at Lone Tree Cemetery, 24591 Fairview Ave, Hayward, CA 94542.
