Edith Adair Lebovitz passed away peacefully on August 1, 2018. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on July 15, 1918 to Harry and Ida Adair. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert Lebovitz, her nephew, Harold E. Adair, and her siblings, Rose, Sarah, Abe and Irving. Edith recently celebrated her 100th birthday at Belmont Village where she was joined by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and friends. Funny, generous, friendly and resilient were the best words to describe her. She was always ready with a quick joke or good natured ribbing and made friends easily. Edith was into health foods and wellness before anybody knew what those terms meant. Though she had no children, she treated her nieces and nephews and their children as her own children and grandchildren. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews including Susan and Fred Feinberg, Sandra Adair, Douglas Adair, Andree and Marc Frost, and Andrew Adair. Services will be held graveside 2:00 PM Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Ahavath Achim Synagogue, 600 Peachtree Battle Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30327. Arrangements made by Dressler's Jewish Funeral Care, 770-451-4999.
