Tupelo - Christopher Bradley "Brad" Sloan, 37, died Thursday, March 2, 2006, in Grenada as the result of an automobile accident.

A native of Tupelo, currently residing in Leland, he was born May 24, 1968, to Tommy Ray and Phyllis Kidd Sloan. He was a Civil War history buff, loved hunting and fishing as well as small and large engine mechanic work.

He was a member of Chesterville Baptist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Bert Harper and the Rev. Don Trammel officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include his parents, Tommy and Phyllis Sloan of Tupelo; two brothers, Bo Sloan and wife, Holly, of Leland, and Jonathan Sloan of Tupelo; two aunts, Billie Fae Christensen of N. Ogden, Utah and Paula Hagerty and husband, Jim, of Valencia, Calif.; one uncle, Michael Helms of Johnson City, Tenn.; five cousins, Brian Hagerty, Joshua Helms, James Helms, Sloan Christensen and Shannon Christensen.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Senter and Halsie Sloan and Elizabeth Sager and Charles P. Kidd; and two uncles, Phil Christensen and Scott Helms.

Pallbearers will be Larry Grissom, James Ruff, Ronnie Earl Norwood, Martin J. Stubblefield, Felix Rutledge Jr. and Donald Johnson.
