Shirley Ann Howell Graves was born June 28, 1947 to late James Elbert Howell and Lula Mae Sisco Howell in Bemis, TN.

Ms. Graves lived most of her life in Hardeman County. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. During her leisure time she enjoyed spending time with family and her dog Roscoe, reading or crocheting. She worked as a Psych. Tech at Western Mental Health Institute for 24 years, she spent 6 years working at VF Jeanswear. She had a heart for the elderly, and she was a sitter in her latter years. She is known for her compassion for others, her home was an open door for anyone needing a place to stay.

Ms. Graves is survived by two sons Michael McAlpin of Middleton and Jeremy Graves (Jackie) of Jackson, one daughter Wanda King (Roger) of Bolivar, four grandchildren Rachel (Samuel) of Biloxi, MS, Matthew of Bolivar and Landon and Levi of Jackson. She is also survived by 3 remaining siblings one brother Kenneth (Teresa) Howell of Hickory Valley, two sisters Glenda Irvin (Billy) of Millington, TN and Sandra Wright of Walnut, MS, as well as two sister in laws Frances and Dora Howell both of Middleton and host of nieces and nephews whom she loved.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers and their wives Cecil and Bonnie Howell, Bobby and Martha Lois Howell, two more brothers John Thomas and Donald Howell, one sister Thelma and her husband Van McDonald all of Middleton and one brother in law Johnny Wright of Walnut, MS, a nephew Randy Howell, a niece Michelle Howell Tranium and one great nephew Ben McDonald all of Middleton.
