Mrs. Mattie Washington Harris passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019. Graveside service will be held on Friday, December 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Florida National Cemetery, ‎6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL with Reverend Prentiss Davis, officiating.

Mattie Harris was born August 12, 1925 in Sylvania, Georgia and was a resident of Tampa for many years. She graduated from Crooms Academy in Sanford, Florida and attended Bethune-Cookman College.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Washington and Clora Washington Levett; spouse, Robert Harris; son, Vernon Donaldson; brother, Booker T. Washington; nephews, Barry Washington, Leonard Harris, Reginald Black and Herbert Ervin.

Mrs. Harris leaves to cherish her memory: 4 daughters [ omitted their names] ; 12 grandchildren, { Omitted their names]; 18 great grands; 4 great great grands; a nephew, {omitted his name] ; special friends, and Ybor City Health Care and Rehabilitation Staff, the Harris and Flowers families. The remains will repose after 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 5 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.
