Shelly Dawn King 45, of Red Lake, Minnesota journeyed to the Spirit World on January 13, 2013.
She was born to Sharon & Leonard King of Redlake on October 13, 1967.
She went to school at the Red Lake Mission School and then graduated Red Lake High School.
Shelly was a child care provider for the Red Lake Reservation.
She also worked at the Red Lake Builders, and at The Early Childhood program as a cook. Shelly then took over her mother?s Day Care when her mother passed on to the Spirit World.
She always loved kids just like her mother! Her hobby was taking care of kids of all ages.
Shelly loved to listen to country music, Pow Wow music, going to the casino and being on the computer. She also enjoyed going fishing with her kids and husband. She was a loving mother, foster mother and grandmother. She liked taking rides and listening to her kids and grandkids.
Preceded in death by her mother: Sharon Barrett, her father: Leonard King Sr. & and by a brother: Leonard King Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Shelly King will be held on Friday, January 18th at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Red Lake. Father Jerry will be the Celebrant. Interment will follow at The Family Cemetery in Redby.
An all night wake will be held on Wednesday, January 16th and Thursday, January 17th beginning at 2:00 P.M. at The Redby Community Center.
