LONACONING — David Wayne "Punky" Darr, 53, of Lonaconing, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at his residence.
Born on Oct. 31, 1963, in Keyser, W.Va., he was the son of the late Roger Darr and Vitalis E. (Henry) Darr. He was preceded in death by twin sisters, Mary Lea Darr and Marie Lynn Darr; a brother, James Darr; and brother-in-law, Bob Walker.
Punky had served in the U.S. Army and worked as a carpenter.
He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Darr of Florida; three grandchildren of Florida; six siblings, Virginia Walker of Keyser, Jeanne Burley and husband, Gary, of Cumberland, Margie Broadwater of Lonaconing, Kathy Lee and husband, Bobby, of Barton, William Darr of Mechanicsville and Roger Darr of Lonaconing; special friend, Lois Whetstone; and numerous nieces and nephews.
