Robert S. Duffy, 88, of Camillus passed at home on Monday, December 2nd with family by his side. Born in Shickshinny, PA he grew up on the Southside of Syracuse. He enlisted in the Marine Corp during the Korean War. He served overseas during his 3 plus year enlistment. After his military service he graduated from Simmons School of Mortuary Science and worked as a mortician in the city of Syracuse before buying a Dry Cleaners from a family on the Southside. He owned Fairmount Cleaners with his wife Pat until 2015 where they enjoyed spending time talking with their customers. He was a member of The Chosin Few, Korea 1950, was involved in many veteran activities. He loved his pets dearly. He was predeceased by his brothers Jack and Mike Duffy, his son Robert in 1977, his wife Barbara in 1992 and his wife Patricia in 2015. He is survived by his daughters Linda (Chuck) Salamina and Susan Duffy Brannon; a son Stuart Duffy; two step-daughters Anita (Anthony) Reed and Jennifer Locke; seven grandchildren Lisa Duffy, Robert Brannon, Anthony McCrimmon, Kassadi Locke, Sophie Patterson, Justin and Jared Salamina Calling hours will be Saturday (12/7) from 2 to 4 pm with services to follow at 4 pm at B.L. Bush & Sons, 10 W. Genesee St. Camillus. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.
