On March 10, 2017, Christopher Lee Griffin departed this life. He entered this earth on October 16, 1992 to Rita and William Griffin in Rome, Georgia.
Christopher was a shy, quiet young man who was very polite and friendly to others. He said few words, but when he did speak, it was to the point and meaningful.

In 1998 he started kindergarten at Darlington School in Rome. Always clinging to his mother, he was most hesitant about leaving her side, but eventually became adjusted to attending school. He spent thirteen years at Darlington, and was very bright and articulate, loving to read and to write. While attending Darlington he was member of the Middle School chorus, he played soccer and went to the State Track meet in high school in participating in the shot put. But, his love was football. He played on the Middle and High school teams. He loved working out and lifting weights because he enjoyed being on the team. He was an avid fan as well, always watching college and professional games on television. He knew the sport.

Christopher graduated from Darlington in 2011. He attended Auburn University and was currently attending Shorter University in Rome, where he was majoring in English. His future goal was to be a sports writer, which he could have excelled in quite well.

He was baptized into the Christian faith and attended Victory Fellowship Center in Calhoun. Christopher loved family. With his parents and brother Tristan, he spent many vacations and holidays with happiness and contentment. He loved playing baseball, basketball, football and doing other fun activities with his Dad and brother in the backyard.

Christopher was preceded in death by many relatives but the two who helped in raising him were his maternal grandmother, the late Lillie Mae Dodson of Cartersville, Georgia and his paternal grandmother, the late Julia Mae Griffin of Rome, Georgia.

Christopher leaves behind his loving, caring parents, Rita and William Griffin; his loving brother, Tristan Lee Griffin, of Brooklyn, New York; his aunts, Gertrude (Morris) Pennyman, Nell (Robert) Benham, True Helen (Paul) Gamble, and Bertha Dodson, all of Cartersville, Georgia; Pam and Lois Griffin, both of Rome, Georgia; his uncles, Minister Bobby (Irma) Dodson and Norris (Ruby) Dodson, both of Cartersville; Tyrone (Betty Jean) Griffin, of Rome, Georgia; and Odis Pritchett, of Cartersville, Georgia. He also leaves behind many cousins and friends who will cherish the memory of him, most notably the Darlington School Class of 2011, and special friends, Luke Cook, Blake Huether, and Ben Davidson.
