Janet Lynn Chandler, age 51, of Lenoir passed away on December 1, 2019.
Born December 9, 1967 in Mecklenburg county, Janet was a daughter of the late Bobby and Patricia Thomas Smith.
Janet had an immense amount of love, and devotion, for her children. She always introduced them to everyone, and any time you spoke to anyone she knew, the first thing they would say was, “she talks about y’all all the time.”
The next two things she loved as much as her children were God and football. Especially Appalachian State Mountaineer and South Carolina Gamecocks football. Janet always had a bible at her side, a big smile on her face, and a hug for everyone. Please keep her family and five children in your thoughts and prayers.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a brother, Mike Smith; her step mother, Sally Blease Smith.
Survivors include her children, Jorgie Chandler, Gabrielle Chandler, Cullen Chandler, Lily Chandler and Ben Chandler all of Lenoir; a brother, Robbie Smith of Cowpens, SC; a sister, Tricia Smith Summerfield of Boiling Springs, SC; an aunt, Loretta Long of Gamewell; she is also survived by numerous other relatives.
A memorial service celebrating Janet’s life will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 5:00 PM at the Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Lenoir.
