Eva was born August 9, 1934 in Mount Ida, WI, the daughter of Logan and Delpha (Cliff) Ransom. Eva was the oldest of 11 children. She married Richard Gobrecht in 1957, Richard passed away in 1957. Eva married Arnold Riley in 1972. Arnold passed away in 1996.
Eva was a model of perseverance and found joy in all that she did. Her passion and excellence for quilting was evident through her magnificent hand-made quilts. Eva designed and crafted many patriotic quilts for homeless veterans. Eva was a loyal and dedicated mother and grandmother; she loved and fully supported her family, always having a special place in her heart for her precious grandchildren.
Eva worked for Wisconsin Power & Light Company (Alliant Energy) her entire career. Extremely dedicated and hard worker, Eva worked in Lancaster, Platteville, Edgerton, and finally Janesville, WI. She was always grateful to Wisconsin Power & Light for providing her an opportunity.
Survivors include a son and daughter; 4 grandchildren; 3 sisters and a brother; 2 step children; and special friend.
She was predeceased by her parents, siblings, Joyce Behling, Diane Mousseu, Keith Ransom, Ruth Buck, Logan Ransom and Ivan Ransom.
Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.
