NECROLOGICAL.

Maurice Wuerpel.

The melancholy intelligence has been received that Maurice Wuerpel (son of Mr. A.C. Wuerpel, cashier of the Metropolitan Bank of this city) has died of pleuro-pneumonia in Kansas City. The deceased was only twenty-five years old, although he had been hold a position in Kansas City for eleven years as representative of the grain and produce houses of John I. Glover and B.F. Glover & Sons.

He first went to that city as the representative of the firm of John I. Glover, and when the New Orleans house of B.F. Glover and Sons was merged into the John I. Glover house, Mr. Wuerpel, whose ability as a business man was appreciated, was made the manager and sole representative of the new Kansas City and New Orleans firm, with headquarters in Kansas City.

Mr. John I. Glover, son of Mr. B.F. Glover, left Sunday evening for Kansas City, when the young gentleman's life was despaired of, and was with him when the end came. The arrangements for the funeral have not yet been made, but he will be buried in the city of his nativity, New Orleans.

Mr. Maurice Wuerpel leaves a father, three sisters and one brother, a member of the Second Louisiana Regiment.
