Jerry Linn Post, 63, Topeka, died Thursday, May 29, 2003, at his home. Mr. Post was retired. He had been an accountant for the Topeka Fire Department. He also had worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. and he owned a pest control business.
He was born Sept. 24, 1939, in Smith County, the son of Cedric Linn and Ruth Jane Wolfe Post. He attended Kansas State University and graduated from Washburn University. He had lived in Topeka since the mid-1960s.
Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home. Those attending are reminded to please dress comfortably. Blue jeans are recommended by Jerry. Memorial contributions may be made to a fund for a park bench along the Shunga Trail in memory of Jerry, and sent in care of the funeral home, 2801 S. W. Urish Road, Topeka, 6664; or donations may be given to Midland Hospice, 200 S. W. Frazier Circle, Topeka, 66603.
