Mr. Kelly Ray Carter, 51, of Union City passed away 5:23 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Gary Haynes will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Manuel Cemetery

Pallbearers will be Alton McCollum, Austin Carter, Kyle Carter, Ray McCollum, Trevor Carter, Hunter Carter, Rodney Carter, Timmy Carter, Trent Carter and Dalton Hays.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Kelly was born April 10, 1968, in Union City, son of the late Joe Carter and Billie (Thompson) Carter of Union City. Kelly worked for Brown Shoe Company in Union City and was a member of Walnut Log Baptist Church.

He is also survived by two sons, Austin Carter of Union City and Kyle Carter (Taylor) of Martin; one sister, Christie Hays (Brian) of Hornbeak; his biological father, Alton McCollum of Union City; his granddaughter, Cypress Carter of Union City; his grandson, Camden Carter, to be born January 2020; two brothers, Rodney Carter of Samburg and Ray McCollum (Michelle) of St. Louis, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
