He was a member of the Hicksville Eagles & Hicksville Masonic Lodge. Al worked at BF Goodrich but was much more at ease raising cattle, racing and shoeing horses and being a pilot.
After spending 12 years in school with her, Al went on his first date with Ellouise "Jo" Taylor on Christmas day of 1961, during their senior year in high school. They were married nearly one year later on Aug. 31, 1962.
Al will be sadly missed by his wife, Jo; daughter, Joyce Copsey; siblings, Wayne (Evelyn) Copsey, Maxine (the late Fred) Mock, Evelyn (Howard) Moltham & Orville Copsey; grandchildren, Chris & Melitta Mendez, Mandolin Childres & Adam Keogh & great granddaughter, Maia Mora.
Viewing is Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, 4 - 7 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River Street, Antwerp.
His funeral service is Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019, 10:30 am, with viewing one hour prior at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp.
He will be laid to rest at Rochester Cemetery.
