Visitation will be Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral service at 2:00 P.M. at Chancellor Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories.
Mrs. Parker was born in Marietta, GA to James Vincent Ferrell and Nellie Lou Owens. She was a member of Souls Harbor Church and was a devoted Christian, prayer warrior, and Sunday school teacher. She was always willing to help others, dedicating her time to visiting the sick and cooking meals for those in need. She loved music and singing in the choir. She was an excellent mother, grandmother, and devoted wife who always put everyone before herself. She was loved by all who knew her.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Leon Ferrell. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Joe Parker; sons, Mark Jeffrey Parker of Florence and Douglas Simmons of Tennessee; daughters Connie Louise (Richard) Lockhart of Pearl and Kathy Jean Norfleet of Tennessee; brother, Charles (Jeannie) Ferrell of California; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
