Funeral services for Clarence S. Snell, 66, 2605 Highland Drive, who died early Thursday, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Atley Sapp will officiate. Mr. Snell was pronounced dead on arrival at Boone County Hospital after he suffered a heart attack while at work as a Linotype operator at The Tribune. He had worked for th Oll Stephens Publishing Co., before coming to The Tribune in 1957. He retired January 1969, but he later returned to work on a part-time basis. He was a member of the International Typographical Union. He is survived by his widow; his mother, Mrs. Ada Belle Snell, 723 Mikel St.; one sister, Living and three brothers, John E. Snell. 2407 Braemore Road; Harry Snell, Route 7 and Rube Snell, Silver Springs, Md. Two sisters and a brother preceded him in death. Mr. Snell was born Oct. 23, 1903, in Howard County, the son of John and Ada DeHaven Snell. He married the former Lena P. Palmer June 25, 1927. Friends may call at Memorial Funeral Home until time for burial. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Pallbearers will be Edgar Sapp, Hamilton Johnson, Peter Kemper, J.E. Marquette, John Delbert McKay and Omar Lay.
