Obituary: Phillip Joseph “Joe” Taylor, 65, of Weston passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Encompass South in Morgantown. He was born in Weston on February 10, 1954, a son of the late Oren Thurmont Taylor and Laura Jean Metz Taylor. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by one nephew, Robert James “Bobby Jim” Taylor. Treasuring their memories of Joe are five siblings: Robert “Bob” Oren Taylor and wife, Marsha, Steven Patrick “Pat” Taylor and wife, Bonnie, Ricky “Rick” Lee Taylor and wife, Karen, Beverly Diane Richards and husband, Wilbert and Thomas “Tommy” Ray Taylor and wife, Regina, all of Copley; and several nieces and nephews. Joe was a graduate of Lewis County High School and attended Murphy’s Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed searching for treasures at flea markets, yard sales and especially auctions. He often attended Stewart’s Auctions searching for those treasures. Joe also enjoyed the wild and wonderful West Virginia while riding four-wheelers with his siblings. Above all Joe cherished his time spent with family and they will miss him greatly. Family and friends will gather for visitation at Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service located at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. in Jane Lew from 12-2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2019. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. on Wednesday in the Pat Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wease Day officiating. Interment will follow at Lewis County Memorial Gardens in Weston.
