Francisco Leura Reyes, Jr., age 75, of Brady, Texas passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 in Brady, Texas.

Frank or Piro as he was known by his family and friends was born October 7, 1944 in Eden, Texas to Francisco “Frank” Reyes, Sr. and Reynalda (Luera) Reyes.

Frank served in the U.S. Army. He served three tours of duty in Viet Nam and was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant.

He was a professional sheep shearer for many years. Later he was the manager of the Short Stop convenience store in Menard for 30 years. He lived in Menard most of his life. He moved to Brady about 10 years ago. He enjoyed arts and crafts. He loved animals and caring for them. He and his brothers had very distinctive and contagious laughs. He loved joking around with family and friends.

At Frank’s request, his remains will be cremated. Private burial of his cremated remains will be next to his parents in the Eden Cemetery. No services are scheduled at this time.

Frank is survived by his brother Guadalupe “Lupe” Reyes of Eden, Texas; sisters Lucia Lopez and husband Julian of Idalou, Texas, Hortencia Villarreal and husband Herman of Eden, Texas and Maria Castanuela and husband Sam of Eden, Texas. He is also survived by his nephew Henry Reyes, niece Delilah Reyes, niece Molly Robles, niece Virginia Savoy, nephew Joe Reyes Jr. and Companion Angela Miller as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Joe Reyes Sr., Genaro Reyes and Johnny Reyes and sister Adele Robles.
