July 1, 1943 - November 27, 2019 Joan Rowland Swafford Morgan, 76, of Pineville Kentucky passed away November 27, 2019. She was born in Pineville, Kentucky July 1, 1943 the daughter of Lloyd and Mildred Harris Swafford, for the last several years she has been caretaker to her mother and best friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Mildred Swafford; her sister, Carol Lynn Short, grand-parents; William and Maude Harris.
Survivors include her children, Mike Smith from Speedwell, Tennessee, Danita Driskill and husband, Danny Driskill from Cabot, Arkansas, Cheryl Starr from Norfolk, Virginia and Lisa Bradley also residing in Virginia.; brother, Larry Swafford and wife, Sue from Wisconsin. Uncle Jack Harris residing Pineville, Kentucky; brother-in-law Billy Short of Speedwell, Tennessee. She loved to hear stories about her grandchildren (5) and great grandchildren (7) Grandchildren’s: Jeffrey Smith and wife, Carmela , Bradley Smith, Dean Garrison and wife Jennifer ,Ryan Garrison, Blake Driskill and wife Katie; Great-grandchildren: Jakob Smith, Brooke, Kaylie, Sheadyn, Aubrey, Alyssa and Garrett Garrison. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 12 Noon Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lynn Miracle. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Gardens, Pineville. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
