Lee, 83, left this earth on May 21, 2016 to join the love of his life, Barbie, in heaven. Born in Chicago, Illinois on September 23, 1933, his family moved to Phoenix in 1947. He graduated from North High School in 1951. He then enrolled at the University of Arizona, where he met and fell in love with Barbara Ashcraft Mitchell. They both graduated in May, 1955, and were married July 2, 1955 at Brophy Chapel. After two years in the Air Force, Lee returned to the University of Arizona to attend law school. He graduated in 1961, and was hired by Carson Messinger Elliott Laughlin and Ragan, where he remained his entire 38 year legal career. Throughout his life, he remained very close to the many friends he developed at North High School and the U of A. Lee had a great, if not quirky sense of humor, was a wordsmith and consummate story teller. He was always generous with his mind, time, talents, and love, volunteering and leading many not for profit organizations, clubs, and committees. He loved movies, plays and live music. His love of all kinds of music was well known, and his Christmas compilations were legendary. He loved his U of A Wildcats, and spent many hours listening to or watching games. He is survived by his 3 children, Chris Perry (Carol Bianchi-Perry), Connie Genrich, Geoff Perry, and 7 grandchildren, Katie Perry, Courtney Perry, Geoff Genrich, Greg Genrich, Brittany Perry, Taylor Perry and Tommy Lee Perry, and sister Julie Evans. Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Thursday June 2, 2016 at Christ Church Anglican, 5811 N. 20th St., Phoenix, AZ 85016. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lee's honor can be made to Child Crisis Arizona, childcrisisaz.org or one's own favorite charity.
