In the very early 1840s, her husband, Alford, set out from North Carolina and arrived in Greene County, Missouri, via covered wagon with his parents, Samuel and "Sally" McDaniel & six siblings. They settled on a farm in what became Christian county in 1859, about nine miles from the present town of Ozark.
Her first husband, Alford, and his sister's husband, Nepoleon Bonaparte Morrow, are said to have been slain by bushwackers in later part of Civil War, their identical replacement headstones have death 1861, which is thought to be incorrect because Napoleon's wife had at least two more children, N Bona in 1862 and Nancy Lula in 1864, who was in his mother's household on 1910 Federal census.
