Mr. Jimmy Ray Young, age 72, of Dyersburg, Tn. passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2019. at his residence in Dyersburg, Tn.
Jimmy was born on March 18, 1947, to the late Luther and Norma Gibson Young He was retired general labor at Nordyene and a Vietnam Army Veteran. He was also a member of Phillips Church of Christ.
Services will be Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019, at 3 pm in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home, conducted by Bro. Andy Brewer. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens, in Dyersburg, Tn.
The Young family will receive visitors from 2-3 pm on Sunday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Verlie Aden Young, of Dyersburg, Tn; a daughter Tammy Fisher (Ronnie), of Friendship, Tn.; his three sons Jim Hill, Portland, Or., Shannon Hill, Dyersburg, Tn., Brett Young, of Paris, Tn.; three sisters, Doris Trimmer, Lakeland, Fl., Linda Bland and Sandra Sanchez, of Dyersburg, Tn.; his brothers, Luther Young, of Finley, Tn., and William Young, of Dyersburg, Tn. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Erica Kilzer, Searge Hill, Colton Hill, Lacee Brewer, and Brandon Young. He had four great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Brenda Patterson, his brothers, Kenneth Young, Rupert Young, Bill Young, and David Young.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Young, Clint Young, Searge Hill, Robert Jones and Charlie Jones.
