Mrs. Pamela “Pam” Kay White, 49, of Bimble, went home to be with the Lord Thursday morning, November 28, 2019 after a four year battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by love and family on that day.

Pam was a devoted wife and mother who always put her family first. She loved to spend time with her daughter and her sister, and she could never turn down a good shopping trip. She was deeply rooted in her Christian faith and could often be found listening to southern gospel.

She was a teacher’s aide at Barbourville Independent Schools for many years and loved working with children. More recently, Pam was the office manager at Dr. Cindy Corbin’s Eye Care Office where she made friends that became her family.

She found a silver lining in all situations and always had kind words of encouragement for those she loved. She will be remembered for her laugh that filled the room and her heart that was bigger than any other known. Her love will be carried on by all of those she left behind.

Pam was preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter and Alma Mills and Lloyd “Joe” and Martha Mills; father, E. G. “General” Mills; brother, Steven Mills and sister-in-law, Amy Mills.

She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, James “Nick” White; a daughter and son-in-law, Audrey and Eric Altenhof; mother, Ada Mills; a sister and brother-in-law, Ima Faye and Lee Roy Hale; a brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Eydie Mills; mother-in-law, Caroline White; sisters-in-law, Jenny Hardy and Jill White; nieces and nephews, Emily and Austin Huff, Abigail Mills, Aaron Mills, Karalee Hale, Erin Hardy, Matthew Hardy and many more family and friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, December 1 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Eddie Gunter and Rev. Jimmy Siler officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Calvary Cemetery at Gray. Casket bearers will be Eric Altenhof, Aaron Mills, Scott Mills, Austin Huff, Shane Maggard and Wayne Maggard. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday after 12 noon until the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
