Elizabeth Spalding, 72, of Panama City, passed away November 27, 2019. Elizabeth was born in Kansas City, Mo, and lived in Bay County since 1984. A military wife, she and her family traveled around the world with her late husband, SFC David R. Spalding. Elizabeth was a member of Hiland Park Baptist Church, and enjoyed reading, crafts, trips to Biloxi, and spending time with her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, David; a son David, Jr., her parents, Leroy and Elvie Sowell; and a brother, Calvin Sowell.
Survivors include her children, Alan Spalding (Stephanie), Ronnie Spalding and Devona Spalding, all of Panama City; a brother, Gary Powers (Karen) of Panama City Beach; her sisters, Donna Thomas of Panama City and Leaetta Davidson (Jeff) of Naples, FL; her grandchildren, Beth, Brittney, Kimberly, R. J., Johnathan, Brandon, Katie, Cody and Tyler; and great-grandchildren, Khloe, Myla, Willow and Logan.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dave Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until service time at 3:00.
