Norma Jean Gardner, age 86, of Gulf Shores, Alabama, formerly of Quebeck, Tennessee, passed away Friday, November 29, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Gardner was born October 25, 1933 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Norman Rice and Addie B. Emerton Rice. She was married 50 years to James Ray Gardner.
She was retired from the Packaging Division of Nestle Corporation.
She loved to watch Hallmark shows, quilting, and send cards to family, friends and fellow church members. She was a member of Quebeck Church of Christ.
Surviving family members include her Children: Wayne and Lori Gardner
Tim and Robin Gardner, Sarah Jo (Jodie) and Roy Cooley
Eight Grandchildren. Eight Great-grandchildren. One Great-Great-grandson.
A host of cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
She is preceded in death by her husband, son, James Gardner, her parents, and four siblings.
Services will be conducted Saturday, December 7, 2019 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery. Don Shuster will officiate the service.
