Gregory Lee Rushing, age 42, passed on this life, November 28, 2019 in Harrisburg, IL. Greg as most knew him was born in Eldorado, IL on September 1, 1977 to the late Charlie Harrington and June (Clevenger) Rushing.
Greg worked in the Riverview Coal Mine, he loved the outdoors, fishing, helping others, being with his friends, and especially the motorcycle club he was a member of, Stormriders, he was known as Boom. He was very active with the club helping other people especially kids at Christmas. Greg will be missed by many
Greg is survived by his parents, Rick and June Rushing of Shawneetown, 2 daughters, Emma and Olivia Rushing of Herrin, IL, a brother, Michael (Karissa) Rushing of Mt. Vernon, IN, and a sister, Heather (Roger) Heffington of Shawneetown.Half Brother Robbie Harrington, Harrisburg He was also survived by a special aunt, Liz Harrington of Harrisburg, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Greg will be on Monday, December 2, 2019 at Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. His funeral service will be on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the funeral home at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest in the Westwood Cemetery in Shawneetown.
