Thelma Perkins, age 90, of Fitzpatrick, WV passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Harper Mills Nursing Home.
Born on June 14, 1929 at Mabscott, she was the daughter of the late George and Sally Stump.
Mrs. Perkins was a homemaker, and was of the Baptist faith. Her interests included gardening, working with the flowers, and bird watching.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carl E. Perkins; sisters, Violet, Ruth, Sudie, and Mattie; a brother James Stump, and a granddaughter Donna Prunest.
Those survivors left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Connie Prunest and husband Bill of Mullens, Paula Alexander and husband Larry of Princewick; a son Rodney Perkins and wife Mitzy of Pemberton. Seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Monday, November 18, 2019 at noon with her brother-in-law, Rev. Cleve Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 10 AM until service time on Monday at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
