Olive Imogene "Jean" Hester, age 76, a 5 year resident of Imlay City, and formerly from St. James, Florida and the Romeo area, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Troy Beaumont Hospital. Jean was born April 21, 1932 in Bloomington, Indiana, the daughter of Euell and Emerine (Keith) Neely. She married Howard Hester on March 2, 1951 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jean worked for many different companies and retired from H & R Block at their branch in Washington Twp. She previously worked at the Stitchn'time in Romeo, as a seamstress at Shotwell's Men Wear in Romeo , and also had worked doing brass fittings at "Weatherhead Company" in Angola, Indiana. Her hobbies included quilting, gardening, and all types of needlework.
Jean is survived by her husband Howard of Imlay City, children: Dennis (Teresa) Hester of Romeo, Mark (Bev) Hester of Imlay City, Sharon (John) Kuhn of Romeo and Julie (John) Salsido of Imaly City. Grandchildren include Nicholas & Brandon Kuhn and Noelle Salsido. Also survived by siblings, Grace Donaldson of Illinois, Gladys Wells and Betty (Jack) Lee both of Indiana. She was preceded in death by one sister and 2 brothers.
