Joel Maurice “Fred” Morgan, 80, of Powder Springs, GA passed away on November 28, 2019, at Tranquility Cobb Hospice in Austell, GA.

He was born on October 15, 1939, in Atlanta, GA.

Mr. Morgan is survived by his beloved wife Harriett Wackwitz Morgan of 57 years; sons, Dean (Sharon) Morgan of Rockmart, GA and Jason (Cindy) Morgan of Hiram, GA; one daughter, Ginger (Dwayne) Howell of Dallas, GA; two brothers, Jerry (Scarlett) Morgan of Rockmart, GA and Wooley Morgan of Kingston, GA; one sister, Pat (Frazier) Mitchell of Mableton, GA; extended generations.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Asa Irma Morgan and Marguerite Hobbs Morgan.

He was of the Christian faith and served as an ordained deacon. He served four years in the United States Marine Corps and owned a grading company for 30 years.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, at 11:00 a.m. from Clark Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow in Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at 2:30 p.m.
