Wanda Lee Dick Owens, 77 years of age, of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on Tuesday, November 26th, 2019 at her home.
Wanda was born in Somerset, Kentucky on July 21st, 1942, daughter of the late William Clarence Dick and Juanita Lewis Dick. Wanda was a retired Special Education School Teacher for twenty- two years at Somerset Independent School. She was a Member of Ringgold Baptist Church and a graduate of Easter Kentucky College. She loved to cook and can.
Wanda was survived by her husband, Vick Owens, whom she married in Pulaski County, Kentucky on June 7th, 1982; three step-sons, Chuck Owens, Roger Owens, and Vic (and Becky) Owens; special cousins, Verna Lewis (and the Lewis family); six step-grandchildren, Michelle Owens, Kyle Owens, Devin Owens; Amy Owens, Cory Owens, and Breanna Owens; four step-great grandchildren, Tommy, Mia, Angelina, and Zach; one step-great great grandchild, Athena; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Clarence Dick, who departed this life on October 13th, 1979 and Juanita Lewis Dick, who departed this life on November 20th, 1999.
Visitations were held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 29th, 2019 at the Southern Oaks Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Graveside services followed visitations at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 29th, 2019 at the Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, Kentucky with Bro. David Muse officiating.
