Donna Marie Oldham

August 4, 1935 - November 23, 2019

Donna Marie Oldham, 84, passed away peacefully on a bright sunny day in the care and loving support of Arbor House assisted living facility, located in Norman, Oklahoma. She was surrounded by her family and friends at the time of her passing.

Donna was born Donna Marie Ratzlaff, on August 4,1935 in Ringwood, Oklahoma to Delores and Davis Ratzlaff.

Donna moved to Maysville, Oklahoma after her parents opened a small grocery store there in the early 1950s. Her family owned and operated several small grocery stores throughout Oklahoma. Donna often talked about the red velvet teddy bear coat that she purchased with money earned from working at the family grocery stores, and taking care of her younger siblings. She always referred to the coat as the “cats meow”.

She was married to Wesley Wayne Oldham of Maysville, Oklahoma for forty-one years until Wayne’s death on October 16, 1998. Donna and Wayne had two children, Kristi Marie Oldham (Veterinarian) of Charleston, South Carolina and Steven Wayne Oldham (Architect) of Norman, Oklahoma.

Donna lived a simple life and took great pleasure in gardening, home decorating, and a good day of bargain shopping with her “forever friends” at Tuesday Morning or Ross Dress for Less. You could find her most days meandering through her gardens at her home in Norman, Oklahoma, tending to her beloved daylilies and hostas.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband Wesley Wayne Oldham, son Steven Wayne Oldham, infant daughter Shelia Dawn Oldham, and sister Karen Holloway. She is survived by her daughter Kristi Marie Oldham and her grandsons Derek David Oldham, Colby Wayne Oldham, and great grandchildren Sadie Jo Oldham, Blake Wayne Oldham, Hannah Mae Oldham and most recently Myer Weldon Oldham, and 1 brother Don Ratzlaff of O'Fallon, Missouri.

“ May the diverse and infinite beauty of her beloved hostas and daylilies lead her way back home “

A memorial visitation will be held from 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm, Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville. Arrangements are under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
