Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church, Cisco, with military burial in the Putnam Cemetery, under the direction of Kimbrough Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 - 8 p.m. in the Kimbrough Chapel.
Mr. Isenhower was born January 14, 1929 in Putnam, Texas and grew up in Cisco. He graduated from Texas A&M in 1950 He served in the US Army as a 2nd Lieutenant during the Korean Conflict; he then returned to Texas and pursed a career marketing agricultural products. He was also a rancher and owned and operated several small businesses.
He married Patsy McCrea of Cisco in 1952 and after of 34 years of marriage she preceded him in death. He married Joanne Bearman in 1998 in Abilene.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Isenhower of Eastland; his four children, Mike Isenhower and wife, Gemey of New Ulm, Texas, Daniel Isenhower and wife, Barbara of Round Rock, Bradley Isenhower and wife, Shelly of Abilene, and Carla Isenhower of Houston; brother, Weldon Isenhower of Abilene; sister, Mary Jo Tabor of Cisco; and eight grandchildren.
Mr. Isenhower was a wonderful husband and father and will be deeply missed by his family.
The family suggests memorials be sent to St. Judes Children Hospital or the American Lung Association.
