"Anita Louise Moore, age 81, of Coleman, died Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Holiday Hill Nursing Home. Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2019, in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with her grandson, Seth Moore, officiating. A time of visitation with the family will be held after the service. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

"She was born Anita Louise Smith on February 9, 1938, in Hamlin, Texas, a daughter of Elvin Eugene "Bud" Smith and Florene Fay Peterson Smith. She grew up in Lubbock where she attended school. On July 21, 1955 she married Jeff Moore in Clovis, New Mexico. Following their marriage they lived in several places before moving to Coleman in 1972. Anita owned and operated her own beauty shop, called Anita's Beauty Shop, in Coleman. She later worked at the Dixie Beauty Shop and eventually bought it, later selling it to her daughter Danita. She was currently a member of Hords Creek Cowboy Church but was a long-time member at First Baptist Church in Coleman. While her husband was pastor at North Coleman Baptist Church she was a member there.

"Survivors include her husband, Jeff Moore of Coleman; one son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Jerilyn Moore of Coleman; one daughter and son-in-law, Danita and Randy McKee of Coleman; six grandchildren, Heather and husband Josh Dennis, Landon Hinds, Elizabeth and husband Jim Bob Edington, Seth and wife Shelby Moore, Sheridan and husband Adam Jones, Jessica and husband Esley Anderson; 15 great-grandchildren, Braden Dennis, Jeffery Edington, Camden Dennis, Rayan Broadway, Thad Hinds, Sadie Edington, Allie Moore, Zane Moore, Ronyn Jones, Ashlyn Anderson, Cross Anderson, Levi Anderson, Saulomon Phillips, Silas Phillips and Sagan Jones.

"She was preceded in death by a grandson, Haidon Hinds, and her brother, Danny L. Smith.

"The family suggest memorials be made to Hords Creek Cowboy Church, 3851 State Hwy 153, Coleman, Texas 76834."
