Matthew Logan Thomas “Popa”, was the youngest son of Dairs Thomas, Jr., and Stacey Romero. He was born on August 15, 1991, in Galveston, Texas and answered the homecoming call on Sunday, November 24, 2019.

Those who cherish his memory include his mother, Stacey Harper and her husband, Ricky, of Nome; Father, Dairs Thomas, Jr., of Galveston; brother, Marcus Thomas and his wife, Jael, of California; sister, Macanzie Cadena and her husband, Richard, of Delaware; brother, Johnathon Thomas, of Galveston; nephews, Carlisle-Matthew Thomas, Nathaniel Cadena; and Gabriel Cadena; nieces, Taylor Riley and Emmalee Deal, and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Tonya Thomas; sisters, Monica Thomas and Latrese Thomas.

A gathering of Matthew’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by his funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 29, 2019, at St. Paul Baptist Church-Stowell, Texas. His interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
