Christine (Biter) Sheppard was born on March 19, 1928 in Montgomery County, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of Barney McCoy Biter (1899–1991) and Dorothy Harriet (Kennedy) Biter (1907–1997).

She was married on August 8, 1948 to William Johnny Sheppard (1920-2004), the son of Lawrence Riley Shepherd (1893–1972) and Flossie E (Seay) Shepherd (1899–1958).

She was employed with Woolworth Department Store for 15 years and with Josten's for 25 years. A classy lady, always with a smile for family and friends, she enjoyed cooking and baking.

Christine was 91 years old and a widow when she passed away on November 25, 2019

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband and by her sister Ruth (Biter) Skinner (1926–2014), she was survived by a married daughter, a married sister, a grandson and by a brother-in-law.

Celebration of Life Services were held at Sykes Funeral Home, and burial was in Louise United Methodist Church Cemetery.
