After a lengthy illness, Rebekah Lou Taylor died peacefully in her sleep on November 23, at The Fountains of the Albemarle in Tarboro, North Carolina.

Becky was a devoted and loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.Throughout her life, she was committed to helping and serving others.

She was a graduate of Flora MacDonald College and received a master’s degree from East Carolina University. As a long-time member of Howard Memorial Presbyterian Church, she served in various roles, including Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, and Elder. She worked for many years as an elementary school teacher and principal at the Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf in Wilson, North Carolina.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Vann and Onie Taylor, and her beloved dog, MacDougal (Mac). She is survived by her brother, Vann Taylor, and his wife Julia Anna; her niece, Leigh Smith, her husband,

William, and their children, Clara and Fuller; and her nephew Vann Taylor, his wife, Leslie, and their son Britt.
