Member, Deacon and Treasurer of Vonore Baptist Church, where he was a strong supporter of the Church’s Car Show. Survivors include his daughter, Kathryn Kirkland of Vonore, Tennessee; son, Austin Kirkland of Vonore, Tennessee; father, Austin Kirkland of Vonore, Tennessee; sister, Kelly Teague of Maryville, Tennessee, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janet and Chris Borden of Maryville, Tennessee; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Lana Samples of Maryville, Tennessee; niece, Tasha Cornine; nephew, Ethan Teague. Preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Ann (Becky) Kirkland; mother, Beulah Dean Kirkland. Funeral 5:00 PM, Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Vonore Baptist Church with the Reverend Andrew Osakue and the Reverend Tony Collins officiating. Interment 11:00 AM, Monday, December 2, 2019 in Vonore Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Vonore Baptist Church Car Show Fund.
