John W. Holloway, 87, died Sunday, November 24, 2019, at his Marion Residence.

John was born in Grant County, Indiana, on September 23, 1932, son of the late John H. and Lillian Lucille (Mitchener) Holloway. He attended Fairmount High School. John and Molly Steele were married in Fowlerton, Indiana, on April 7, 1951. They celebrated 62 years of marriage before Molly died on February 21, 2014. John retired in July 1983 after 32 years as a crane operator at General Motors. He enjoyed mowing, playing cards, and fishing on Barbee Lake.

John is survived by four children, Roxanne Holloway, Christine Holloway, and Larry Holloway, all of Marion, and Terry (Kenna) Holloway, Gas City; brother, Marvin (Bonnie) Holloway, Fairmount; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John H. and Lillian; wife, Molly; and brother, Gerald Holloway.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana, where visitation will be on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. A funeral procession will follow the visitation to Park Cemetery, where a graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m.
