Eva Ann Thompson was born on Sunday, December 31st, 1944 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Drunken and Bessie (Dreadfulwater) Thompson. She grew up with her four brothers and two sisters, Billy Thompson, Johnny Thompson, Stella Thompson, Betty Thompson-Still, JB Thompson and James Thompson. She attended school in Tahlequah and later graduated from Haskell, where she majored in Secretarial Sciences. She then traveled out to California and then made her way back home to Tahlequah, staying here the rest of her lifetime. She was a homemaker, keeping her home and raising her family for three generations. She was kind and loving with just a touch of spice. She loved to read and watch movies, with Star Wars being her all time favorite. Football was her favorite sport and she loved watching OU and the Dallas Cowboys play. She was a gifted artist, doing arts and crafts, drawing and making beautiful keepsake cards for her family members. When the weather warmed, you could find Eva out doors working in her flower beds raising roses and elephant ears. There was always the fun of going to the garage sales and hunting for a bargain, reading to her nieces and nephews, and generally looking out for the other people around her. There were no strangers in Eva’s life. God was an important aspect of her life, she was a member of First Indian Baptist and attended Calvary Indian Baptist church, and there was nothing sweeter than singing the old gospel Cherokee hymns she was so proud of. She helped to raise the family members who needed her most, and making them a home in which to grow and flourish. The Lord called this good and faithful servant home from her many labors on Monday, November 25th, 2019 in Muskogee, OK with her family by her side. She was 74 years old and will be greatly missed by those she loved and held close. She is preceded in death by her Grandmother Lizzie (Dreadfulwater) Hair, her mother and father, two brothers Billy and James and two sisters, Stella and Betty. She is lovingly remembered by her family, niece Stella Campbell and husband Darrell of Cookson, OK, great nephew, Corey Still of Albuquerque, NM, great niece Chelsea Campbell of Tahlequah, two great great nieces, Payton Jones and Jaycee Mouse, and one great great nephew, Karsyn Jones. She also leaves two brothers, Johnny Thompson and wife Becky of Tulsa, OK, and JB Thompson of Tahlequah, OK, as well as friends and a host of loved ones too numerous to mention.
