Katherine Maffitt Caldwell, age 89, of Dalton, passed away Monday November 25, 2019 at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late, William and Edna McKelvey Maffit and was preceded in death by her husband Hubert Caldwell; son Will Caldwell; grandson Jeremy Caldwell and aunts, Alyce McKelvey and Fanlu McDonald.
Katherine was Alumni of Berry High School (Berry Academy).
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Bobby Howell of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Patricia Caldwell of Montgomery, AL; grandchildren Cameron (Blake) Dunagan, Kevin (Amber) Howell, Jennifer (Jerry) Schmitt and Josh Caldwell; great-grandchildren, Madison (Tommy) Jones, Kaitlyn Patterson, Kyler Patterson, Kaden Schmitt, Ava Howell, Brody Howell, Rachel Dunagan, Ashleigh Caldwell and Katherine Caldwell; great-great-grandchild Joyanna Jones..
The funeral services will be Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 2 p.m. in Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Leslie Daniel officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
