Billy Joe Green passed away on November 19, 2019 in Bremond, Texas at the age of 84 years old. He was born to Cantrell Rufus and Lillie Mae (Shook) Green in Boone Prairie, TX on October 26, 1935.
Billy went to Bremond school. He worked in data processing but loved working cows and being out in the country. He worked at Baylor University, SMI, Marathon Power Technologies, Wolf Florist, and Marlin Mills.
Billy served in the Air Force and stationed in the Philippines and Colorado Springs. He served a total of 8 years and received the distinguished Airman of the Month Award.
Billy married Shirley Powell in Franklin on December 27, 1957. Billy was a lifelong resident of Bremond.
He was preceded in death by parents, brothers; Rufus Green, James Green, and Ray Green, Son; Mark Green.
He is survived by: Daughters: Melissa Johnson of Waco, Melonie (Kyle) Murray of New London, Connecticut, Heather Johnson of Kansas City, Missouri. Sisters: Sarah Thompson of Bremond, Lois Mae Vinson of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Brother: Roy Green of Bremond,
Granddaughter: Abigail. Special Friend; Pauline Biezenski, her children and grandchildren who were a part of his life for many years.
On November 30, 2019 at 10:30 am there will be an Interment held at Heards Prairie Cemetery with Military Honors from the Air Force and a Celebration of life will follow at First Baptist Church-Lighthouse in Bremond.
