71-year-old McLeansboro resident Betty Funkhouser died on Friday (November 22) at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was a homemaker who loved crafting and a member of Christian Chapel Church in McLeansboro.
She was born on November 9, 1948, in Eldorado to Roy and Betty (Buchanan) Russell. She married Don Funkhouser on January 14, 1978, and he preceded her in death on March 11, 2015.
Betty Funkhouser is survived by daughters Antonette (Alva) Bennet of West Frankfort and Betsey Phillips and Lenora (Mike) Parker of McLeansboro; sons Jeff and Russell Farthing of McLeansboro; brother Manuel (Kim) Russell of Walpole; sisters Sue Darnell of Dale, Barbara Dill of McLeansboro, Elfreda Russell of Macedonia, and Kelly (Mark) Farthing of McLeansboro; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son Loren Farthing.
